SCHOOL DAYS

What are the things that flash across your mind when you hear the phrase “school days”? Is it the monotonous routine or the fun that we had while being teen insurgents, is it the teacher’s excessively long lectures that made us miss our bed and pillow or our crushes or may be our teenage love that got us giddy? Is it the group lunch or the canteen love?

School as we call it the second home. It's the place where a part of our heart lies forever. This home is created by us and our homies, who just like us, were semi evolved Homo sapiens, may be a little better than Neanderthals. The homies, who we choose among the seven million people in the world to be the part of our initial journey eventually accompanies us throughout our whole life voyage without even realizing. Even though they might not be here with us physically or we may get separated due to numerous reasons but close your eyes, try to revisit that time, you will always find them in that home wearing same clothes, sitting in the same way and laughing along with you at the same silly or lame jokes which aren’t even worthy of smiles but they are there ,laughing their hearts out, talking to you in spite of getting countless warnings from teachers and genuinely having a moment that you found worthy of remembering. They are there in our memories unchanged forever.

It was the time when we did not have to put our guards on, actually we did not need guards, why? Coz we had our gang built on principle of trust and enormous faith.

We were no less than potentate, made our own norms that were meant to be broken, had our secret bro code that was so easy to decode at that age but now we aren’t sure if we can decipher it with same ease with which we used to it do back then, we even had our own way to punish each- other and everyone. Adults may not understand the intensity of our punishment but those punishments were big deal for us.

Then comes our guardians of the school, the people who made the school distinct from our houses and the individuals who became the hot topic of immature gossips without any effort. These people guided us, took care of us selflessly and worked as catalyst in our evolution yet were considered more of fiend due to their strict persona that they had to put up. These fiends were our beloved teachers whose contributions no matter what is always underappreciated like our parent’s. We realize their worth too late when we have to travel far away from their shade. No matter what they go through they never give up and nurture millions of humans like us at their most vulnerable stage and make them able enough to travel away without looking back.

But at that point they were rarely the favorite part of our school life.

School life is love. Love that comes with apprehensions and separation, love that sometimes shows itself in form of friendship, sometimes shows itself in form of competition, sometimes in form of support or sometimes in need of our support, it has numerous incarnation which demands recognition and our attention. But this love disguises itself very well because we are too cool to let it exhibit so we make sure it remains disguised but one thing for sure, we all feel its presence and are lucky to receive it. Love that makes our tender heart grow. School is a world of unconditional love.

Here we find our first romantic interest. It’s where we get over them as well and learn to deal with all these seemingly complex feelings. School life is where teacher is treated as celebrities. It’s a place where we evolve and let others transcendence. It’s a place where nothing is small. Everything is treated with intensity whether love or hatred. The place where if one lost then too can be found. The place where stories build and characters are made.

Being rebellious in school life was associated with dancing at the back of the teacher, filling water bottles after every period, visiting washrooms during examination, not completing homework and assignments on time, wearing make- up, and so on. At least one activity is a part of everyone’s life. This rebellion then provided feeling of freedom but now associated with happy memories.

Seemingly forever timeline of our schooling, our immature developing self, encumbered with discipline that straight away pass through our brain or too much restriction and over expectations did make our life a little heavy at a times yet we being the invincible protagonists that we overcame everything and turned every bit of our life into a meaningful experience.

Well, we all had subjective experiences that made our school days cherish able though we may or may not want to go through that life again but no matter what one cannot deny the fact that something or the other about our school days get us all excited and make us laugh or smile every time we think about it or get to discuss about it.
School is a place that if an individual goes even after years can find their hearts. The place is an emotion.

Reminiscing the days gives gitters in our stomach and the evanescent time laughs and tells us that individuals with whom we used to spend 6 hours of our day, now when we meet them there is a strange silence on our face. This transformation everyone must have faced. The transformation is the result of getting reflection of our good old days and the innocence that we feel from that person of those days. We feel the era of unapologetic regime, the echoing sounds of thousands of stories and shared laughter and fights. These are the people with whom we shared the purest form of love in the form of friendship as the innocence demanded acceptance.

When now these beautiful creatures come in front of us, we want that time to be untouched by the hustle life, the rat race around us and lots of insecurities. We want that time to rejoice in enthusiasm and merriment and just get that soulful energy of knowing everything while knowing nothing.

    1. Yes pal, I get you.
I mean I am also not too fond of my school life. All that discipline, monotonous routine, being adult pleaser etc. It's true there is a lot to complain about but then our friends, at a times teacher's little appreciation, random TV/cartoon shows, simple food, stationary that our parents us and distributing or getting toffees on birthdays made it "Our golden school days" .
Tbh as an adult those small things mean nothing but our childhood simplicity and our emotions entangled with those time and people ,get us nostalgic .

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY

Hello our beloved readers, today is a very special and splendidly prideful day for our Nation India as well as for us Indians. Today we are celebrating 75th year of our Independence. With due respect for our country and for the compatriot , we would like to introduce a gratifying and beautifully laid out poetry which is spawned by the contribution of our precious scriveners from all over the country.

DREAM INDIA

Since our childhood, numerous times we were asked to imagine ourselves in the position of important political power holders such as Prime Minister, President or may be officer and we had to contemplate and manifest what we would do if we were them. We did have some common yet individualistic opinion on the topic but all our answers were directed in shaping India certain way. The way we would like to have our Indian Society as. This signifies we all had vision for India. No doubt, India is already a great, diverse and prepossessing country. All of us are proud and grateful that we are the part of this beautiful society but like every society India too, has its shortcomings. And these shortcomings are something that we as significant part of it should deal with rather than avoiding them or denying their existence. Most of us when imaging ourselves in important position we think of dealing with these blemishes in order to achieve our vision for India. In this blog we won’t be discuss...

BUDDY IN MY HEAD

Hi everyone, I'm not sure how many of you can relate to this, but let me introduce this little voice inside my head that I believe is within each of us, though I'm not completely certain. Yes, it is that voice which is helping you to read this if you cannot read it out loud. The voice which you cannot hear but you can understand very well what it is saying. A voice without a source, a voice that no one can hear except you. The voice of our mind. It’s a story or more of a description of my mind’s voice. It's very loud and chatty in my head. This voice has a lot to say and is really opinionated. Every time I see something, feel something or experience a thing, this buddy in my head is the first one to respond. The annoying thing about her is that even when I demand silence, she continues to blabber on about anything and everything. In spite of all these I cannot deny the fact that she is an integral part of me. She is actually me and her silence is end of me thus no matter ...
